I am so thrilled to share with you today our family’s FAVORITE story on CD – Jonathan Park from Vision Forum.

Jonathan Park is not a typical book on CD – it is a Christian radio drama intended for kids 7+ (but we didn’t find anything to be too dramatic for our younger girls).  So what does a radio drama mean? It means instead of hearing one person read the story to you, you will live the story! You will hear different actors dialogue, vivid sound effects, and music! It is so incredibly well done!

The series follows the family of Jonathan Park and their adventures centering around his Dad who is a Creation Scientist! Each 30 minute episode is packed with examples of how their Christian worldview plays itself out in everyday life. Even though the story is fictitious, the creation data presented in each episode is based on real research! Not only does it help kids learn to defend their faith, but my husband & I (both growing up in Christian homes and going to a Christian college) learned plenty too! It is all presented very naturally so your kids will hardly know they are learning and strengthening their faith at the same time =-)  I really love how the Park family models a wonderful example of how a Christian family should look. The family takes things to God in prayer, they trust God, they speak with respect to on another, the kids are obedient and respectful, the family goes through difficult situations but still trusts God, and there is lots of good dialogue.

Homeschoolers you’re going to LOVE this!  You can also go online to download a free study guide with additional information about the scientific data presented – perfect for family devotions, homeschooling, or parents who want to learn more! The first volume contains 12 episodes. There are 8+ more sets and this amazing series is ongoing!

Jonathan Park would make an EXCELLENT Christmas present, family Bible Study, or Science course!  Jonathan Park is at the top of my 7 year old’s Christmas list!  My son loves this series so much that after we finished listening to the entire volume, Goofy wanted to start listening to it again – right away!

Jonathan Park is truly a treat to listen to for people of all ages. And you will be thrilled by the weaving of apologetics through the fabric of the story! A must for EVERY family!
