Our printables & MFW –K calls for O is for Octopus. But we already did that last year (see post here). So we decided to do O is for Owls. As you can see above, we made a foam letter O – this is our favorite letter creation to date!
We made an Owl out of Shapes (I saw the idea here at Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational). We also read some shape books and then the kids made pictures of their own using shapes! I love seeing what their creative minds come up with!
We read some great Owl Books: (In a couple years I am doing the Owl Pellet dissection!!)
With a trip out of town we didn’t get to this amazing Owl Lapbook (free from Homeschool Share). So I think in a year or so we’ll revisit Owls to do this lapbook & dissect Owl Pellets!
